Technology and Innovation Project Specialist

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) provides the awareness, innovation, integration and guidance functions for internally funded development and advancement of next generation space technologies. OCTO is seeking a Technology and Innovation Project Coordinator Specialist III to help coordinate planning, awareness and special projects associated with the different initiatives related to technology and innovation at the company. S/he will ensure OCTO is able to successfully execute these initiatives according to plan.

Key Functions
You will collaborate with OCTO leadership, principal investigators and other stakeholders at the company to plan and execute awareness initiatives and lead special projects related to technology engagement both internal and external to The Aerospace Corporation
Develops and implements detailed project plans to include goals and objectives, scope of work, milestones, and tasks
Compile and review organizational reports for different corporate and government reporting requirements
Lead coordination and planning of VIP tours, OCTO special events, and external tradeshows and conferences where OCTO is an active participant
Develop and maintain internal awareness tools such as OCTO WordPress sites, SharePoint, and Atlassian collaboration tools
You will also partner with Corporate Communications team to provide engaging media and external awareness campaigns on Aerospace technology and innovation programs
Analyzes current procedures and proposes improvements to create an efficient process
Document procedures for staff members
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
Minimum of (3) years of applicable professional experience is required
Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must possess strong organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
Advance degree or equivalent is preferred
(5) years of applicable professional experience is preferred
Experience with WordPress is preferable
Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools is desired
A current and active Secret security clearance, which is issued by the US government is highly preferred
