System1 is looking for a Technical Project Manager to work with our DevOps team as they work to architect and build scalable, stable infrastructure. We are a fast-growing and profitable company looking to scale our owned-and-operated websites to keep pace with the business. The ideal person is highly motivated, accustomed to a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of evolving business needs. This role will report directly to the EVP of Product and help build out a strong, goal-oriented, agile development team.

The Role You Will Have

• Lead weekly meetings - sprint planning, backlog scrubbing, retrospective, brainstorming
• Prioritize urgent / last minute requests during sprints
• Build product schedules and clearly communicate changes to stakeholders
• Refine, document, communicate, and champion best practices for product development
• Ensure sprint iterations are properly scoped and achievable
• Ensure business requirements are translated into actionable technical requirements
• Assist team in defining and acting on goals for continuous improvement
• Proactively anticipate and identify risks and dependencies during development
• Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the company

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years in Technical Project Management role
• Prior experience within IT/DevOps, digital advertising, or other web based company
• BA/BS degree, preferably with a technical or engineering degree
• Proven track record of managing and delivering software projects on schedule
• Expert competency with issue tracking and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Strong technical background with experience in software development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively shift focus between day-to-day details and the longer term schedule
• Highly organized and flexible communicator
• Familiarity or experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• Familiarity with software programming languages (Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with Git source control systems (or equivalent)
