Quibi’s technology team is seeking a Technical Program Manager who is sharp, motivated and eager to drive the development of a state-of-the-art data ecosystem from the ground up. This includes the execution of a cloud-based data platform, data pipelines, data models, analytics, and machine learning models. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be a part of the team that will enable data-driven decisions for the next generation of video viewing experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with product, engineering and analytics teams to deliver data engineering, analytics, and platform objectives 
  • Own project schedules and drive deliverables to completion
  • Partner with data engineers and scientists to break down data engineering and analytics requirements into actionable work items
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to distill requirements and launch the Quibi product
  • Manage and negotiate multiple product and technology requests with competing priorities
  • Document and communicate tech progress and roadmaps to stakeholders
  • Develop positive relationships with partners, ensuring dependencies are understood and documented between the partners business and Quibi’s technology team


What to Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software and data program management
  • 2+ experience with large-scale data collection, transformation, and modeling for business analytics
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Experience representing data engineering and analytics teams in business discussions and negotiations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and a strong teamwork ethic
  • Demonstrated experience in guiding teams to good data solutions
  • Experience working with large distributed systems and big data
  • Prior software development experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with a number of the following technologies:
  • Distributed data processing - Spark, Hadoop, Presto, etc
  • Data oriented software engineering - Python, Scala, etc
  • Stream processing frameworks - Flink, Kafka, etc
  • MPP data warehousing - Snowflake, Redshift, etc
  • SQL and query performance tuning
