Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced technical project manager to oversee a wide variety of IT projects from conceptual design through implementation. You must possess a great deal of organizational prowess, leadership capability and communication skills in order to be successful in this role. If you are ready to steer several projects to success, we are excited to have you on our team.*This is a 100% remote position.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, with adherence to the IT PMO standards for planning, execution, monitoring and controlling
  • Lead and manage a hybrid Agile-waterfall project when requirements are well-defined to deliver minimum viable product as soon as possible
  • Lead and manage multiple projects in IT and/or business areas, where projects can be concurrent
  • Translate technical concepts to non-technical team members and/or stakeholders to ensure complete understanding and alignment with end goal
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge stakeholder and technical requirements with company goals
  • Work with other PMs and developers to ensure that the implementation schedules, milestones, and deliverable are clearly outlined, accurate and in sync with other aspects of the project/product
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
  • Ensure business and technical requirements are properly gathered and available to interdependent project teams as requirements may overlap with multiple company initiatives
  • Proactively communicate with project stakeholders to provide support, identify risks and issues, plan mitigations, implement solutions, and gain efficiencies
  • Effectively manage change requests and adhere to the defined standards for change management
  • Ensure that all assets for training, communication, documentation, and explanation of processes, roadmaps, and more are kept well-organized and accessible, and contribute new materials as needed
  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news
  • Establish a comprehensive communication plan for gathering requirements, providing project status updates, demonstrating progress, and generating interim feedback from stakeholders
  • Drive lessons learned and knowledge retention for future use

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years hands-on work experience in a Technical Project management role within a Tech start-up or large company
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Possess a significant understanding of Information Technology and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Extensive project or leadership experience and strong team management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be proficient with MS Project and the O365 Client suite
  • Analytical and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to adapt and change quickly in a maturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-up
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies

PREFERRED

  • Working experience with Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency with MS Dynamics (F&O)
  • Proficiency with Seed-to-Sales Systems specific to the Cannabis industry
  • Experience with Manufacturing and wholesale processes
  • Experience with Retail Operations and POS system configurations or deployments
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Understanding of data architecture and analytic skills related to working with datasets
  • Experience using OneNote, PPM Express, and Power BI
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
