Position Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and facilitates Agile/Scrum ceremonies like: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming and team demos
  • Maintains relevant metrics to help the team monitor their performance and support the team in reaching their sprint goals, e.g., overseeing the end-to-end delivery of product features
  • Proactively removes or escalates roadblocks to allow team progress
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and responsiveness to complete work and solve problems, with a drive to persevere when faced with ambiguity
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution within the team and other depended entities
  • Guides the team on how to use Agile/Scrum/SAFe practices and values
  • Encourages continual improvement in engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery
  • Takes responsibility for managing dependencies between the Scrum team and others, collaborates within a local Scrum Master group especially with regards to items necessary for product release
  • Supports Line Manager in process evaluation and in team evaluation activities
  • Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART and team level events/ceremonies
  • Improves the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
  • Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location optionsThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Possess a Scrum Master certification (CSM, Advanced Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, or Scrum Master from Scaled Agile)
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile SAFe methodology
  • 3+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and best agile software engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience
  • 5+ years of agile methodology experience in both software development & non-software area (Scaled Agile Framework) and other scaling framework
  • Team-oriented, results & delivery oriented
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, facilitate discussions, propose viable alternatives, and consider different approaches
  • Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
