Sr. Project Manager/Delivery Manager (Software)

The Sr. Project Manager/Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful, on-time, on-budget completion of multiple concurrent software development projects and keeps everyone on their toes!  Your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of a project following XYPRO’s SDLC.  You will document and track the project’s objectives, oversee progress, monitor and report status’s, proactively adapting throughout.  Time management and multi-tasking skills will be your key to success in this position.

The Project Manager works in concert with Engineering, Sales, Services & Product Management.

Essential Functions

• Direct and manage software development project from beginning to end.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Estimate the resources and team members needed to achieve project goals and identify when those needs change during the project.
• Proactively manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues and impediments affecting the project team.
• Proactively identify and manage project dependencies, risks and critical path.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation,
  and presentations.
• Influence project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Web application experience

Requirements

• 5+ years software development project management experience
• 5+ years’ experience with Agile + waterfall SDLC practice
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience with variety of task tracking tool (Jira, ALM, etc) is a plus
• Organized, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
• Strong written and oral communication skills
