Job objective:

Epirus designs and manufactures some of the most cutting edge RF systems in the world in a rapid development environment.  Epirus is winning significant defense contracts with our high end directed energy products and needs someone to build a team around these contracts, lead the team, and ultimately deliver product.  The Program Manager role will serve as the administrative point of contact for Epirus’ defense contracts, be ultimately responsible for deliverables and completion of the contract and keeping the contract on time and on budget.  Engineering background is preferred but not required, experience managing defense programs is highly desired.


Duties:

  • Lead a project/program team to accomplish the program objectives
  • Work closely with the contract (government) sponsor, cross-functional engineering, supply chain, build, finance and contracts teams, and assigned scrum masters and schedulers to develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, as well as opportunities and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
  • Manage program security
  • Manage administrative an reporting requirements to the customer (Government)


Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in an engineering field, business management field, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing at least one mid sized program to completion (> $10 Million) or multiple smaller programs.
  • US Citizen

  • Good written and oral communication skills; not afraid to speak up, either to ask for help or disagree on a technical point that warrants more discussion
  • Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization
  • Eager to learn and to help others on the team
  • Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Focused, with perspective on what matters most, rapidly delivering customer value
  • Engineering or technical background
  • Contracts experience
  • Interfacing with DoD customers

Location

Our company is located in Torrance, just off of the 405. We moved into our new 100,000+ square foot facility in November 2021 and love calling it home.
