What we are looking for…
A Procurement Specialist who owns the procurement process for the hundreds of items we need to bring the AvantStay experience to every guest. We are hiring for operationally-minded and analytical individuals who are looking to work at a fast-paced startup. This is a job for someone who is scrappy, thrives in ambiguity, and is willing to put in the hard work to build new processes and systems.
What you'll do...
- Work with the Design and Operations team and own all stages of the procurement process
- Track and report on the performance of the procurement team, with an eye on efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction
- Develop new strategies to make procurement processes more efficient
- Partner closely with city managers and Operations Managers to support city needs
- Analyze vendor performance and hold existing vendors accountable to SLAs and AvantStay standards. Ensure clear communication, timely order management and flawless execution of orders
- Work with the Operations team to manage inventory and ensure orders are placed on time to support forecasted demand, maintain healthy inventory levels, and support growth
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or logistics preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5 year experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer, or head of procurement leading a large team of hourly and full-time employees
- Experience communicating and negotiating with a full catalog of domestic and international vendors
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as experience working with third-party procurement management software, ideally NetSuite
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with Excel or Google Sheets is a must
- Ability to “think on your feet” and work independently with little oversight
- Experience working at a startup preferred, but not required
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- Salary: $60,000-$80,000
