Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager will manage and administer the day to day procurement function. This position would improve BlackLine's current system and lead the process of finding and implementing a new procurement tool.
The position would be tasked with improving the following procurement processes: sourcing, expense requisitioning, internal approvals, vendor contract management, vendor management and purchase orders.
This position will work closely with stakeholders to upgrade and build a more robust and efficient, tool-based procurement function, utilizing best practices in the industry.
In addition, the position may perform a variety of other administrative and facility related tasks to support our global needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the charge on improving processes and procedures with other members of management to build a world class, tool-based procurement function
- Manage the vendor purchase request process; review and assure required approval procedures are in place
- Train and educate all internal stakeholders on the procurement process
- Provide administrative and analytical support, including data entry, for global procurement related needs and activities, including vendor contract management, purchase order processing and SOW assessments
- Review commercial terms of agreements on vendor contract as requested and needed
- Partner with Information Security, Finance, Human Resources and Legal regarding compliance
- Manage the implementation of a new procurement tool for the Company, in conjunction Procurement team
- Work with internal stakeholders and vendors regarding end of contracts and renewals
- Other facility related requests as needed, including assisting current corporate staff and maintaining and updating key procurement and facility related databases
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10+ years in working in a Procurement Management function
- Experience in leading global procurement activities
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proficient in managing SaaS or cloud-based procurement tools
- Experience managing implementation of procurement processes, procedures and tools a plus
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to take ownership of specific responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams of procurement professionals a plus
- Ability to be an independent thinker
- Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, and a high sense of urgency
- Must be team oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to handle confidential information
