Policy Manager at Snap Inc.
We’re looking for a Policy Manager to join Team Snapchat! Reporting to the Head of Content & Product Policy, your cross-functional role will be focused on managing internal policy for various products, features, and teams. You will have a keen understanding of operations that will allow you to help translate ideas into action. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters as a member of our Public Policy team, you’ll work closely with Operations, Legal, Product, and other teams throughout the company to effectively scope, plan, and execute on Snap’s policy needs.
What you’ll do:
Inform company-wide content and product policies, supporting the Public Policy team
Project manage new and ongoing policy initiatives, holding cross functional stakeholders accountable to deadlines and ensuring projects stay on track
Anticipate policy requirements and required operational workflows for new products and features
Conduct market research to ensure a deep understanding of industry and market norms, and follow government initiatives that impact the industry
Deep understanding of the regulatory environment to help advise teams and shape internal policy approach
Develop and communicate the Policy team’s perspective and point of view to internal stakeholders
Represent Snap at industry events and conferences as necessary
Bachelor's degree in english, public policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a content moderation, business analyst, project management, or policy support role
A background in Business, Operations, Communications, Legal, or related field
Someone with a deep knowledge of building new business processes and technology solutions
Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges into actionable plans
A detail-oriented individual with strong business acumen and the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
