Hawke Media has strategic alliances with the world’s best consultants, agencies, venture capitalists, and technology platform partners who evangelize our services to their clients. The Partnerships team develops and manages these relationships to create third-party sales channels and strategic go-to-market alliances. We drive new client acquisition through referrals from these partners, which has become an indispensable sales and marketing channel for Hawke Media. As this department is relatively new, there will be significant visibility and opportunity for learning, impact, and advancement.

The partner ecosystem is a driving force behind Hawke Media’s growth. Referrals through partnerships have created a new revenue stream that did not previously exist for the company. The Partnerships team ensures that the value of existing partnerships grows while continuously developing new ones.

This role will be instrumental in the growth of this department and revenue channel. Working directly with our Head of Partnerships, the Partnership Associate’s responsibilities will be wide ranging. They will include, but not be limited to, sourcing and qualification of new partnerships, existing partner follow up and reporting, as well as helping to develop the process and infrastructure to scale this growing team and revenue channel.

The role will require creative thinking and problem solving, an entrepreneurial attitude, and a self-starter work style.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up calls with new potential partners
  • Initial qualification of new potential partners 
  • Track referral pipeline and commission reports 
  • Liaising across departments to gather information and resources
  • Internal data aggregation and organization
  • Process feedback and documentation
  • Creating best practices around departmental efficiencies and scale
  • Prospect for new potential partnerships through emails, calls, and in-person events
  • Initial qualification of new potential partners
  • Work within CRM, and with sales team, to update partnership deal status weekly
  • Send weekly commission report to existing partners
  • Work across teams and departments to gather information and feedback for partnerships
  • Assist in the creation of departmental processes
  • Regularly attend local events to network and prospect for new partnerships

Skills & Experience:

  • 1-2 years in Business Development, Consulting, or Account Management, preferably at a technology or services company
  • Have strong business acumen and a track record of over-achieving
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, both digitally and in-person
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills, along with focused attention to detail.
  • Ability to work closely with, and often getting help from, other teams
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple work streams and project simultaneously
  • Desire to learn and increase responsibilities quickly
  • Excel/Google Spreadsheets
