Partnership and Programs: Principal Program Manager
Responsibilities:
This position includes program management of product development and partnership management across Motional’s GEN2 Program. The ideal candidate would be highly self-motivated and have the willingness to dive right in and enjoys tackling and solving complex challenges on a daily basis and have the ability to work cross-functional areas. Strong collaborator, able to work with others to understand and clarify requirements. You will work directly with an entire development team including software developers, fellow application / calibration engineers, hardware engineers and project managers to develop project specific solutions for Motionals’ product and ensure close working relations with HMC.
- Interface with cross-functional groups to ensure communication between HMC and Motional teams are being clearly communicated within internal stakeholders
- Work with Engineering teams and TPM Organization to ensure upcoming events are communicated and planned properly
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to develop cohesive development plan
- First point of contact for HMC for all Program related issues
- Develop project schedule, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
- Coordinate with key stakeholders such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, TPM and supply chain to ensure vehicle launch and program deliverables are on track
- Track, analyze and develop mitigation plans to address project and program risks
- Responsible for developing and rolling out project and program deliverables across the organization
Require Skills
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of work experience with the system engineering
- 8+ years experience in Project/Program Management preferred
- Experience working directly with OEMs and Suppliers
- Familiar with PPAP and automotive engineering design processes
- Experience in project management or technical management
- Experience with global teams, multiple time zones
- Fluent in English required (oral and written)
- Cross-functional knowledge of Systems Engineering, Electronic, Software, and Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Automated Driving integration in Infrastructure
Preferred Skills
- Comfortable working in fast paced dynamic projects
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong Interest in next-generation automated driving technologies (hand-on evaluation)
- Bi-lingual(Korean/English) is preferred
