Role:

The SnackNation Brands team is on a mission to put the best brands in front of their target audience at the right place, at the right time. And to do that, we’re looking to hire a passionate, experienced merchandiser to manage the snack curations for the millions of people we reach every month.

The National Merchandising Manager (NMM) will develop our merchandising strategy and roadmap as we continue to expand into new markets. Reporting to the Director of Brands and working directly with both the Brands and Operations teams, the NMM will create one-of-a-kind curations and create compelling omnichannel shopping experiences. The NMM will assume responsibility for all aspects of our merchandising process, including defining success metrics, KPIs, and connecting the success of our campaigns to the overall success of our Brands platform.

This role will be working across many teams so strong organizational and communication skills are essential. We’re looking for a self-starter that can define a path forward, manage our merchandising campaigns and ensure success for both our customers and the brands we serve. Responsibilities:

  • Develop the SnackNation Omnichannel Merchandising Strategy and Roadmap that outlines KPIs, success metrics, and strategic rollout for existing and future opportunities
  • Collaborate with Brands team to assess the right snacks for our programs and own the assembly of all snack curations to deliver to our members across the country
  • Own curation development and upload into NetSuite
  • Work with Inventory Manager to monitor volumes and ensure the right product is available for the successful execution of omnichannel partnerships
  • Work with the Brands and eCommerce teams to manage online curations and pricing strategies, and assess possible opportunities for promotion across various platforms and markets
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to leverage content and to understand all possible opportunities for promotion across all platforms (seasonality, holidays, new health trends, National “X” Days, etc.)
  • Develop Merchandising reporting to assess performance of brands at market and streamline process for sourcing new brands into new market opportunities
  • Work with Operations to identify new ways to optimize inventory and maximize value of inventory allocation and customer experience

Required Skills/Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in an merchandising role (ideally omnichannel within the food space)
  • Experience in account management and vendor/client relations
  • Amazing communication skills: You take time to know your audience, understand their needs, and present your ideas and questions clearly, thoughtfully, and timely. You also embrace the idea of radical candor- feedback both positive and constructive is essential to our team
  • Comfortable with the uncomfortable: You don’t shy away from the big problems and complexities- you are enthusiastic and passionate about understanding the optimal way to present the best better-for-you brands in the best environments around the country
  • Project management: You can easily manage various different projects and campaigns while staying on-track with deliverables and communications
  • Catalyst for change: You share that same electric energy and drive to disrupt the conventional ways of how a brand comes to market and connects with their future customers and thrive in a changing environment
