SUMMARY:

The Wholesale Implementation Specialist will have a strong background in working with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to guide our wholesale customers through the implementation process in accordance with our business and electronic document requirements. This includes communicating via phone and email with BUG-A-SALT clients to perform internal EDI set up, completing testing and supporting our clients with business and technical questions. You will be the primary contact for customers to ensure successful flowing electronic data, in production between business retailers and their network of suppliers. The candidate will spend time most of their time onboarding new partners. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Wholesale Sales Team to provide an exceptional client/customer experience.  This position will require working with Excel spreadsheets, EDI, analyzing data, and knowledge of networking protocols and their usage. The successful candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys interfacing with clients to identify needs, troubleshoot issues, define and provide optimal solutions and build customer loyalty for existing accounts. 

 

This position will report directly to the Head of Global sales who will offer mentoring and coaching opportunities including the chance to learn about strategic business development and E-commerce sales. This is a unique experience for someone who is looking to learn and grow their business acumen. This role will also receive a crash course in customer service to learn the lay of the land and the essentials to keeping our customers happy.  CUSTOMER SERVICE = EVERYTHING to BUG-A-SALT!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage day-to-day project tasks for integrating e-commerce solutions of multiple client groups from initial set up through order processing
  • Define and execute test plans in order to successfully integrate customers
  • Verify that business rules function correctly prior to production install
  • Process and monitor all inbound and outbound documents
  • Work with wholesale customers to resolve any operational EDI issues
  • Coordinate and test all EDI implementations with new customers
  • Use EDI to handle purchase orders (invoicing, send ASNs, routing requests, etc.)
  • Audit purchase orders and invoices for accuracy
  • Become well-versed with each customers’ partnership requirements and uphold their standards with each transaction
  • Understand and create process flows
  • Facilitate sales process through calls & emails with customers, provide customers with information on product pricing, features, availability, and anything else they need
  • Analyze sales data, reports and create excel spread sheets/graphs of collected data
  • Keep track of inventory and sales figures
  • Willingness to follow up on leads and contact new clients
  • Schedule routing with logistics companies via computer & phone to transport wholesale shipments
  • Delegate work to and sometimes train sales assistant/s
  • Problem solve with little and sometimes no guidance in order to complete novel tasks
  • May be required to travel occasionally for trade shows/sales events

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher, OR equivalent experience
  • General understanding of the concepts of e-commerce and electronic data interchange (EDI)
  • Familiarity or experience working with XML a plus or other data types
  • Technical or project management experience and some prior (low level) programming experience
  • Text editing and data mapping tools experience
  • Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) related to B2B integration preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and strong project management skills
  • Proficient in interacting with customers to effectively conduct sales & maintain relationships
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with precision
  • Reliable, self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Basic math skills are a must, accounting experience is a plus
  • Must be willing/able to work from 9AM – 5PM, 5 days per week
  • Overtime hours may be required periodically
