What You’re Applying For:
The Creative Services Project Manager will play a crucial role in the growth of Edmunds’ newly formed Content Special Projects team. You will work alongside the Manager of Editorial Production and the rest of the thirty-strong Edmunds’ editorial team to manage content for our sponsored content partners and other special projects.
You will develop realistic production schedules, track progress, maintain project calendars and enforce hard deadlines for content campaigns. Working as part of an in-house team, this role will be able to juggle multiple projects at a time, while creating and maintaining communication between our advertising partners, freelancers, sales team and editors. You will be asked to provide creative solutions for a variety of different challenges and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate should be extremely versatile, and should be experienced with a variety of different production formats. Having a solid knowledge of the automotive industry and what car shoppers care for and value most is a plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Prioritize, implement and manage third-party content production schedule and deadlines for written content, video and social content needs
- Oversee assigning of written content for our partners
- Manage timelines and due dates
- Schedule brainstorming and concept meetings
- Create creative treatments to be presented to clients
- Work with client and sales teams to ensure all assigning, deadlines and content needs/requests are met
- Help source and define a streamlined briefing and workflow process for all branded and third party content.
- Support sourcing and management of contractors' deadlines
- Develop quality and efficient procedures for production
- Work in JIRA or similar project management tools
- Provide regular project updates to team and stakeholders
What You Need:
- 4+ years experience in content project management for editorial, brands or agencies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience working with third-party partners, brands and cross-functionally with internal departments and teams.
- Personal reliability and integrity. Your colleagues know they can rely on you in every respect; you model this trait in all that you do.
- Great people management skills.
- Great organization habits and multitasking skills, managing multiple projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and think proactively.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Enthusiasm: an ability to juggle multiple projects and kick-start initiatives in a busy work environment is a must.
