Welcome to the next frontier. We are looking for a few entrepreneurial-minded and mission-driven business development managers to help lead the charge and manage the ever growing Partner Networks. Our Partner Networks leverage the EV Connect cloud application platform to build electric vehicle charging station networks.  It is a global business, with multiple business models ranging from public networks, to fleet, to mobility. Working directly for the VP of Business Development, this role will help manage and nurture existing relationships and venture out to find new ones.
 
You will need an understanding of the software business and its revenue models, and an ability to differentiate between “solutioning” and selling.  You aren’t a software engineer, but you understand the business and can speak the language.  You have worked with contracts and pay meticulous attention to detail.   Cross-functional relationships are critical, as you will frequently be working with product, customer experience, and engineering.

Qualifications, Roles, Responsibilities:
 

  • 3+ years of business development/account management in software, with experience collaborating with other functional areas to continuously improve the customer’s experience
  • Knowledge of platform business models is a plus.  
  • BA/BS degree
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities as well as own, nurture and grow the customer relationship post-closing of contract.  
  • Provide product and customer experience with feedback on partner network experiences.  Think creatively about how we can continuously be improving as a company, and share that feedback in a productive manner.
  • Support emerging business development opportunities.  You may be asked to support contracting phase of deals, prospecting of new networks, or the evaluation of inbound dealflow. 
  • Be able to support our partner networks on large deals, such as RFPs. 
  • Have fun.  Be interesting.  Always be developing yourself as a person and professional outside of work.  Learn new skills doing something you enjoy.  It will make you a better member of the team.
