About This Role

At Apeel Sciences, we look to nature to help the global food system improve quality, reduce waste, and ensure an abundant future for our planet. We are seeking a motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented candidate with a background or interest in project management to work within the Operations Team at Apeel Sciences. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating internal efforts to execute trials and certain operational upgrades and will provide key support to the greater Integrations teams. This involves internal-facing coordination to ensure that our trials can successfully transition to Commercial Integrations and that equipment or processing upgrades at our steady-state sites are supported and managed efficiently. The Associate Project Manager will interface closely with the on the Apeel Sciences Operations Team, as well as Project Engineers and Product Managers who will primarily manage external-facing communications with Customer staff and vendors to execute trials and commercial upgrades. The Associate Project Manager will be tasked with managing timelines and budgets for trials. The Associate Project Manager will also play a critical role in improving upon internal project management processes, organizing and disseminating information to relevant parties, and capturing key learnings throughout the organization for future projects.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate several, cross-functional Customer trials from planning to completion.
• Learn the ins and outs of digital project and knowledge management tools to track, analyze, and archive project-related deliverables, progress, and learnings.
• Effectively leverage resources (people and capital) to complete projects economically and expeditiously.
• Systematically capture, memorialize and distribute knowledge and internal learnings from assigned projects.
• Clearly and effectively communicate (in written and verbal forms) to cross-functional teams.
• Provide recommendations to help streamline Customer trials and steady state upgrades — helping to remove roadblocks and enable others to move forward on their deliverables.
• Work effectively to manage and strengthen working relationships among project teams.
• Identify deficiencies within the current project management framework and toolset and help the greater Integrations team to address challenges and add strategic value.

What You Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational and project management experience. 
• Formal work experience in project management role is preferred.
• General knowledge of project management tools such as productivity software, Gantt charts, and knowledge of management databases is preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have demonstrated organizational ability and high attention to detail.
• Individuals with strong interpersonal skills and experience working in interdisciplinary teams will be given preference.
