The Role


Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Associate Marketing Project Manager (full-time, salaried, regular) will manage projects and initiatives across the marketing organization. This role has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closure of assigned projects while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization and marketing team. This position is the bridge between all team members tasked with the execution of each project. 


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the strategic planning and successful execution of marketing projects and campaigns from inception to final product, ensuring smooth and effective workflows and meeting established deadlines
  • Develop project timelines and production calendars based on strategic prioritization, planning and resource utilization
  • Collaborate and interface with various team members on the marketing team and throughout the company to define unique scope, goals, and deliverables of project
  • Allocate project resources, assemble the leading project team, manage deliverables, timelines, and budget to ensure project success
  • Manage information and distribute meeting notes with actionable items
  • Facilitate strong communication within the team; work with sub-team leads to identify and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and ensure all tasks are successfully completed
  • Support the team on which projects should take priority
  • Work with leadership team and internal collaborators to shape and manage deliverables and internal and external expectations
  • Ensure a robust process of notification, documentation, and escalation is in place to report on both successes and risks along the lifecycle of projects
  • Develop new and innovative ways to delegate, track, and report on projects
  • Work in support of building a culture of growth, satisfaction, high performance, and positive relations for all project teams
  • Develop strong, cross-departmental working relationships
  • Challenge the status quo, champion new initiatives, and act as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement in business performance
  • Handle other special projects/assignments in support of the senior marketing team
  • Support the Sr Manager of Marketing Strategy on linear specific requests including but not limited to international assets requests, affiliate asset requests, communication with the media strategy team, and strategic show support of our linear titles. 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or Communications
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management or marketing for digital consumer products, services, or apps ideally for an entertainment brand
  • Experience with subscription services and SVOD products a plus


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven administrative and organizational skills
  • Proven skill in Project Management and ability to multi- task on a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Inspires a shared vision
  • Possess a strong ability to translate chaotic information into plan of action
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to partner and communicate effectively across different business teams and levels
  • Ability to delegate tasks
  • Excellent time management skills, punctual, and a strong ability to prioritize with a strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable, committed, aware, and drives the MotorTrend mission
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to conduct engaging presentations
  • Ability to thrive in fast pace, goal-oriented environments
  • Extremely resourceful with strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Proactive and driven individual


Physical Requirements:

  • Position is remote until at least Spring 2021 then located in El Segundo, CA office
  • The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen
