To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a razor-sharp Production Operations Manager eager to make an impact within a mission-driven organization. As a Production Operations Manager, you will be the master subject matter expert of Science 37’s applications managing the production systems, enterprise data, applications in production and the on-call escalation process to provide the top-quality experience to our patients and users through software as well as communication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the 24x7 escalation point for production support to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Resolve operational issues by analyzing the root causes and/or assisting in the process
• Oversee and ensure the integrity of production systems on a day-to-day basis to ensure uninterrupted services
• Assist in implementing tools to increase engineering productivity
• Assist implementing production monitoring systems and maintain the service level
• Design, implement and conduct production support activities
• Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning and scaling of the application infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• B.S. in computer science, engineering, related technology field, or equivalent training
• 5+ years of experience in application development/testing and/or production operation
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments and cultures
• Experience supporting production environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with UNIX and Shell scripting
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Working knowledge on at least one of the infrastructure and/or APM tools (New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, PagerDuty)
• Experience working with one or more of the following: Node.js, Javascript, Ruby on Rails, Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with production support tools (JIRA, Zendesk)
• Experience in life science and health care industry
• Experience with SaaS
• AWS certified on Solutions Architect, SysOps or DevOps is a plus
