What we are looking for…

As the VP of Product at AvantStay, you will be responsible for driving the Product team to execute efficiently against our vision of building a tech-enabled, next-generation hospitality brand. A top-notch VP of Product should demonstrate excellent communication skills, prior organizational leadership experience, an ability to connect with other stakeholders, engineers and developers, and a strong foundation in user-centric & data-driven product design.

We are looking for an experienced VP of Product to align a distributed, diverse team with multiple stakeholders. The responsibilities of a VP of Product are aligning & setting expectations for multi-product lines across the company, and improving product processes & standards.

What you'll do...

• Lead the team through management and mentorship
• Demonstrate ability to attract, recruit, and close strong, high quality PMs; know how to structure a product team that is perceived internally and externally as one of the defining strengths of the company
• Bring the tech chops to gain credibility and effectively communicate with tech leads
• Demonstrate a strong sense of best practices for product management, user-centric design and systems development 
• Recommend product developments and systems improvements to drive efficiency
• Be a strong cross-functional company leader that can effectively communicate and drive accretive value across departments

What you'll bring...

• Engineering or similar degree
• Must have 5+ years of industry experience working with large teams in a startup environment
• Strong organizational leadership skills
• Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create cross-departmental alignment in regards to a company’s product strategy and rollouts
• Experience in recruiting strong team members and contributors
• Previous working experience in product management
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management
