The Role:

We are looking for a VP of Product Management to envision, define, own, lead, and manage key product initiatives to grow Adelphic DSP’s portfolio of capabilities, including, A) autonomous advertising through machine learning, optimization, and recommendations, and B) innovative data-, graph-, and analytics-focused solutions to agency and marketer needs, iterating from ideation/inception to client interactions/user research, writing requirements, design, review, QA, release, and adoption towards product-market fit.

 

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with experience in advertising and/or data products and will have experience leading and mentoring a small team of product managers. This role will define and drive the execution of the product roadmap, developing new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers, prospects, and partners.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Taking an ‘outside-in’ approach, understand the unmet needs and problem space of agencies and marketers, generate previously unimagined possibilities, and drive the adoption of new products streamlining media buying.
  • In collaboration with the data science team, push Adelphic’s self-serve media buying platform towards the goal of autonomous advertising.
  • With the availability of technical identifiers a moving target, build on Adelphic’s Household ID capability, while integrating with ID alternatives whether from browser/operating system providers, 3rd parties, or industry initiatives.
  • Liaising with sales, sales engineering, technical account management, solutions, and product marketing, to innovate market-differentiated solutions for Adelphic’s Data Lake offering, phase them out, and own the roadmap of making Data Lake a core Adelphic strength and a solid revenue source.
  • Manage dependencies with other aspects of the Viant/Adelphic technical environment; and, working cross-functionally, track development against the expected deliverables, and continually ship client-valuable functionality to a successful outcome.
  • Perform competitive research understanding offerings within the DSP and adjacent markets.
  • Generate strategic and innovative new product ideas and drive implementation.
  • Effectively drive, measure, and communicate relevant KPIs to key stakeholders in a timely fashion
  • Lead customer requirement sessions to gather product feedback.
  • Build, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, while also expanding existing product workstreams.

Your Background:

  • Product management experience and fluency in writing product requirements and design documents, and working with engineering, design, analytics, and data science teams.
  • Past success managing complex internet software development cycles, and API/spec integrations, within medium to large organizations, with the ability to decide when to build, and when to partner.
  • Expertise in digital formats, and channels, from display to video, audio, search, social, etc. regardless of device, including addressable TV.
  • Deep understanding of digital media’s functional landscape from planning, to buying, to measurement. Solid grasp of the ecosystem value chain from marketers to ad tech intermediaries in media, data, identity, measurement, cloud, and technology providers, all the way to publishers.
  • Experience developing Internet products and technologies.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Technical and able to garner respect from engineers.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • BA/BS required.

  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we are a relatively small and nimble organization.

Compensation:

  • We offer a competitive total compensation package including long-term and annual incentives tied to achieving overall company performance and revenue growth targets.

  • This role is offered in office, remote, and hybrid.
