As the Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the planning, execution and delivery of Rapid7’s Vulnerability Management products. In this pivotal role, you bring a broad understanding of the security market, the vendors that compete within it and the adjacent markets that support the buyer’s complete needs. You marry business savvy with technical knowledge to define product requirements, prioritize trade-offs, and measure customer impact throughout the software development lifecycle. Job Description
Key member of the VM Product Management team, responsible for ensuring the quality, fit-for-purpose and market impact of delivered product capabilities.
Work closely with Engineering and UX teams to determine technical solutions and user experience workflows to help customers achieve outcomes.
Drive planning sessions and prioritize work based on customer needs, product strategy and business impact, and track and communicate progress.
Obsess over customer adoption; gather customer feedback and operationalize product usage metrics to drive decision making and product evolution.
Act as product advocate and subject matter expert for both customers and internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, support and customer success.
Keep up to date on technology trends and their impact to the product roadmap.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience in software technical product/project management.
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships.
Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to apply technical awareness to user stories.
Excellent presentation, written/verbal communication and customer-facing skills.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodology, acting as product owner for one or more engineering scrum teams would be highly beneficial.
Past experience in the security industry is a bonus.
