We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This role will focus on developing, launching new product verticals on Dave’s financial platform. You will develop and evangelize the strategic roadmap for your specific vertical and also work to integrate features across Dave ensuring an integrated and delightful experience for all members. 


Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in both digital product management and business development. Opportunity assessment should be a particular strength, with experience in identifying, developing and executing new product strategies through strategic partnerships.

You are accountable for the success of your products, even if you don’t control all the teams contributing to that success. So you must be comfortable and confident in influencing your colleagues without authority. You should lead and influence your colleagues through building relationships and leveraging data. Critical to your success will be your ability to build productive collaborative relationships not only within product development with Design and Engineering, but also with Data, Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Operations, Member Success, Compliance, People, Legal and Risk.


You’ll help us build America’s No 1 Community-Driven Fintech SuperBrand by:

• Expanding the Dave ecosystem by building new sticky product that delight our members

• Set the long-term strategy and roadmap for your vertical

• Build alignment and execute relentlessly


You’ll also be an excellent product manager with a history of partnering with engineering and product design to ship releases that move the needle and impact our KPI’s.

What you'll do:

  • Work with cross functional stakeholders to align goals, strategy, and roadmap 
  • Communicate, coordinate, and work closely with your squad as well as the other product and engineering teams to drive the end to end product development life cycle. 
  • Articulate user stories, requirements, define business value, and identify success metrics for our existing/new services
  • Work on the definition and reporting of relevant KPIs to continually optimize technical and financial performance for our business
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to launch new experiments that help to improve our current systems
  • Identify and prioritize new product partnership opportunities that will enhance your products
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with partners, identify opportunities to improve performance and lower cost while maintaining the ‘care and feeding’ of partners
  • Leverage data in everything you do - communicating, prioritizing and building
  • Influence stakeholders cross-functionally, including Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance.
  • Become a qualitative and quantitative expert on our customers and their use of your products and services
  • Customer success and customer outcomes should be the primary lens through which you view your work
  • Lean in and lean out, with the ability to be both tactical and strategic as needed

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent product and technical experience
  • Experience with gathering requirements for new products and processes across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with integrating many third-party vendors for payment processing (ex: payment processors, vendor gateways, banking integrations etc.) 
  • Excellent communication with engineering and senior management
  • Experience strongly desired with Financial Platform, Payments, and FinTech
  • Experience across a broad range of business and technical disciplines - business development, product management financial analysis / modeling, technology, business case development, contract negotiation
  • Prior experience at a high-growth startup is preferred
  • Ability to foster empathy for customers whose daily life, circumstances, and needs might be very different than your own
  • You should have a strong track record of building successful products built through a white label partnership that move the needle on your KPIs, delivering value for both the business and our customers
  • Strong analytical skills, communicate exceptionally well, embrace navigating complexity and ambiguity, and have a humble mindset to always be open to both learning and teaching
