About the Role and You

The Hardware Product Integrity Manager is responsible for ensuring hardware products meet all the key product performance requirements and has a key role in final sign off of the product and part approval. The role will require a close working relationship with the programme management team, product management engineering functions and compliance & certification, ensuring product requirements are tiered down to functional and performance requirements and suitable verification plans are in place and progressing in alignment with the project needs. The role collaborates with the Director, Hardware Quality and will work directly with the Hardware Programme Management and Engineering teams developing the verification management process, standard product requirements, progress reporting and risk assessment on deviations.

The role-holder will have collaboration, organisational, planning, problem solving and leadership skills and will be a pro-active, “self-starter” to work optimally in a multifaceted and fast paced environment. The role requires a strong understanding of the physics of failure, accelerated life models, test methods, and risk assessments.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage the verification plans for all Zwift Hardware projects, ensuring all the key product performance requirements are verified and managed through the programmes
  • Be accountable for the reliability and robustness of verification methods, working across the product management and engineering teams to define the test method and process to ensure the products are suitably verified against product requirements
  • Complete risk assessment review of engineering designs prior to data release from 3D CAD and 2D drawings to understand the risks in the design against meeting the design requirements, and ensure suitable actions are in place to resolve significant issues prior to data release
  • Manage, collate and report test data and issues across the wide range of Hardware verification activities, including producing overview reports for the Executive Leadership Team, including high level risk where required. The process should include FW,  Hardware integration, game and user experience reporting process through the SW TPM
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Quality to ensure product quality issues are addressed with the supply base
  • Act as center of excellence on change control to ensure all changes are suitably reviewed and  verification requirements are defined before changes are submitted, and that changes are validated prior to release to production

What we're looking for:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject area
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in leading or managing verification and validation activities in high quality technical environments; consumer electronics, medical devices etc.  
  • Extensive experience in developing test methods and accelerated life models for specific use cases, and producing risk assessments based on test deviations
  • Capable of using and integrating 3D CAD models, and experience of FEA modeling
  • Understanding of physics of failure, experience of leading failure investigations and engineering problem solving
  • Experience of using reliability or test/ risk based SW (reliasoft) or developing your own models
  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time to London Bridge

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in product development, design and verification of high quality consumer products
  • Experience of developing systems or databases to capture and report test data and fault reporting
  • Experience of developing test methods in both high volume, and high cost low volume environments
  • Experience of MS Project, Smartsheets, Jira and/or Miro planning and management tools
