UNest is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help guide new and existing products. This candidate will support the development of products and features for multiple platforms tied to UNest’s strategic vision.
This role has the option to be remote or based out of our Los Angeles Office.
Within 1 month, you will:
Learn about our product and development process.
Onboard to our product management and development tools.
Introduce yourself to stakeholders and each functional group you’ll be working with.
Research and understand our customers and competition.
Become familiar with our targets, strategy, and vision for education on multiple platforms.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define product requirements.
Create and own product specs.
Within 6 months, you will:
Lead the product development process for the product
Translate business requirements into user stories for the development team to implement
Provide sizing and business value of product work to shape the product roadmap
Work closely with engineering and QA to ensure the MVP is built, tested and ready for production release
Help set and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the product
Within 12 months, you will:
Establish deep understanding of user behaviors and competitor landscape
Develop a systematic approach to experimenting, measuring and learning, with high velocity
Hold your team responsible for meeting deadlines; help remove obstacles from their path
What you will bring to UNest:
3+ years of experience in product management
Experience working in consumer mobile/web products; fintech and investment or card-linked experience is a plus
Creative, first principles thinker with a bias towards data-driven decision-making
Highly effective communication skills and ability to liaise seamlessly between engineering, QA, design, marketing, finance, compliance, and executive team
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Highly analytical; can synthesize complex requirements and turn them into clear specifications
Knowledge of Agile software development process
Highly effective judgment and interpersonal skills
Experience in a high-growth environment preferred
