Fair lets people shop, sign, and pay for a vehicle—all from their phone. There’s no loan or long-term debt, no long-term lease, and no physical paperwork. Our products serve consumers, professional drivers, dealerships, strategic partners, and internal teams. We are an official Uber partner and backed by SoftBank. Fair is headquartered in Santa Monica, CA.

Who You Are

Product managers at Fair enables a seamless experience between the digital systems and the physical roads on which our vehicles move. You stand at the intersection of product development, operations, marketing, and support. People see you as a problem solver—not someone simply directing traffic. You know who to gather and how to empower. You drive consensus rather than wrest control. Success means momentum: a united team ready to measure, learn, and continuously roll out product improvements to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a product line and associated KPIs; understand the problems, personas, and motivations of your customers; identify alternative solutions to your product
  • Mobilize a cross-functional team to strategize and quickly iterate product; prioritize with empathy; make evidence-based decisions
  • Negotiate scope to deliver the greatest outcome within given limitations; validate through user research, split testing, and other lean practices before overcommitting time and energy; report on progress
  • Communicate with positivity and transparency; bridge the gap between internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Document product to facilitate build, release, training, and customer support

What You’ll Need

  • 5–7+ years of product management experience
  • Director-level applicants must have recently held a product title and lead matrixed teams
  • Ability to translate vision and ambiguity into valuable product features
  • Level Headedness in processing requests; keen sense for separating needs, wants, and nice-to-haves to optimize product releases (and stakeholder satisfaction)
  • Balanced decisioning making: be data informed and vision driven
  • Organization to manage multiple high-profile projects and an evolving roadmap
  • Collaboration with Analytics, Data Science, Design and Engineering to justify priorities
  • Experience managing a full product life cycle including collecting user and stakeholder feedback, drafting scope and acceptance criteria, rationalizing effort and timelines, and releasing iterative product improvements
  • Strong partnership with Operations to successfully launch complex initiatives
  • Trust in your team to lead their projects; availability to mentor, foster teamwork, and problem solve on-demand as questions arise
  • Fundamental understanding of Agile development and familiarity with tools like Productboard and Jira to manage priorities and workflow
  • Clear, adaptable written, verbal, and visual communication to ensure a message reaches the intended audience; English fluency
  • Credibility to lead a cross-functional team without the formal authority of being the “boss”
  • Clout earned through execution and emotional intelligence
  • Bonus points if you have hypergrowth startup experience and a background in fintech, ecommerce, or the automotive industry

What You’ll Get

  • 100% coverage of medical, dental and vision benefits for employees AND their families
  • Equity incentives (it’s only fair we all own the company)
  • Daily catered lunch and fully stocked kitchen
  • Green commuter benefits (office is 1 block from Expo Line)
  • Paid parking
  • Unlimited vacation package
  • Up to four months 100% paid parental leave
  • Cellphone reimbursement
  • 401(k)
  • Employee referrals rewards
  • Diverse and inclusive culture
  • Leadership, mentorship, and learning programs
  • Discount on Fair vehicles
