Outer is hiring a Product Manager to join our Product Team and lead the growth of our next-gen retail concept – Neighborhood Showroom. The Neighborhood Showroom platform turns our customers' backyards into showrooms where shoppers can see, touch, and feel our products in the backyards of real Outer customers (think: Airbnb meets retail). This is a truly unique opportunity to lead the development and growth of a product that has the opportunity to significantly impact the retail landscape.

As the Product Manager for Neighborhood Showroom, you will create and execute strategies that expose insights, drive learnings, and propel the growth of this experimental platform. Your insatiable curiosity, love for experimentation, and bias towards action will enable you to navigate the unknown as you explore this new frontier of experiential retail. You will shine as a product leader through your unique blend of creativity, analytical skills, and subject matter expertise.

Given the stage of Outer and the ever-evolving business strategy and needs of the company, this role may evolve over time. New and exciting opportunities arise every day and we are looking for candidates who will embrace and be motivated by that flexibility.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with leadership to create and execute the strategies and tactics that will ignite the growth of the Neighborhood Showroom product
  • Drive new feature experimentation through MVPs and painted door solutions 
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand consumer psychology, preferences, and behaviors
  • Launch and coordinate off-site growth strategies and campaigns that will increase awareness, interest, and demand for Neighborhood Showroom
  • Manage end to end feature development working with a dedicated team of engineers, designers, QAs, data analysts, and data scientists
  • Own the definition, tracking, and reporting of KPIs that show the growth and health of the Neighborhood Showroom product
  • Leverage deep quantitative and qualitative analyses to understand the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ behind experiment performance and customer behavior
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to enable success
  • Champion a culture of velocity, iteration, and learning

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in product management within early-stage and/or high-growth companies
  • Founder experience preferred
  • Deep expertise in consumer products with proven experience in building products from the ground up
  • Subject matter expertise in consumer marketplaces, eCommerce, and omnichannel strategy
  • Ability to produce MVPs, “hacks”, and painted door solutions to quickly gather learnings
  • Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, produce, deploy, and analyze A/B tests
  • Deep experience in end to end feature development leading teams of engineers, designers, and cross-functional contributors throughout iterations
  • Ability to create and communicate experience concepts visually through flows, wireframes, and mock ups
  • Superior analytical skills and experience working with modern data analytics tools and query languages (Looker, Segment, Amplitude, Hotjar, SQL, etc.)
  • Highly empathetic
  • Copywriting skills
  • An ability to think strategically while also being able to execute tactically
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships and create influence throughout an organization
  • Growth mindset and insatiable curiosity
  • Creativity, fearlessness, and out of the box thinking
