An Insider's view of Supernatural

What are some social events your company does?

One of my most memorable evenings during the pandemic was attending our monthly all-hands meeting in the virtual world. Despite being isolated, we used our virtual reality headsets to attend a party together in an imaginary digital venue, all dressed as unique “avatars” of our own creation. The experience was surreal and I’ll never forget it.

Leila

Senior Software Engineer

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We have an incredible product that is changing peoples’ lives, but is impossible to understand without trying it. Bottling up all that magic into marketing material that captures peoples’ hearts and ignites their imagination is the juiciest, most fun, and most difficult challenge, and we’re excitedly working on ways to bridge the gap every day.

Jonny

Head of Product Marketing

What does career growth look like on your team?

Helping my team grow in their careers is foundational to the success of our company. As the amount of back-end/server work increases in support of a growing product in Supernatural, so has the team size and the complexity of internal tools in number and scale. Leaders arise out of necessity, and we see promotions from within as normal.

Kuangwei

Director of Engineering

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

The People team is the heart of the company & all of their decisions influence the future of the organization from policy creation to hiring decisions. They are encouraged to push boundaries creatively through collaboration, constant learning & iterations, & adapting to new ways of doing things recognizing employee happiness is the ultimate goal.

Lynnette

VP of People Operations

What’s the vibe like in the office?

The vibe in the office is casual, collaborative, and open. Walking around, you’ll always see some people in VR headsets, either doing work or testing a workout. There’s always someone in the kitchen grabbing a snack or drink (the on-tap cold brew is my personal favorite) and having a casual chat, often with someone in another department.

Lilly

Director of Product Management
