Summary

We are currently looking to add another product manager to our Revenue team. As a Product Manager, Ad Delivery, you will be driving the efforts for Revenue Product, with particular focus on Ad Delivery, to ensure the highest, sustained monetization of any platform in the free, ad-supported TV space. In particular, you will be working on the core ad flow, such as projects around how we make ad requests, and how we decide what ads will be shown to users. This role will report to the Senior Director, Product - Revenue.

Responsibilities

This is a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Finalizing product initiatives with a completed Charter that includes clear definition of goals, risks / dependencies / assumptions, overall approach, requirements with acceptance criteria, and includes a solution design (defined by an architect/engineer) that meets the requirements.
  • Triaging ad tech issues efficiently, driving resolution with the appropriate resources including independent QA/troubleshooting when possible, and helping communicate status/results to stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining a healthy, productive, working relationships across the core Revenue Product/Program/Engineering teams, as well as Ad Operations, Revenue/Sales Leadership, and Monetization.
  • Defining and managing the product goals, strategies, and roadmap plans for Ad Delivery and ensuring their prioritization on the all-up Revenue Product Roadmap.
  • Becoming a strong, contributing member of the Revenue Product Management team through product ideation discussions, alignment to the operational cadence, helping others succeed, and improving how we operate.
  • Becoming the subject matter expert on the entire Ad Delivery workflow, including the step-by-step functions that occur, the logic applied, the role/impact of non-technology operations, how internal/external systems are used, and the related system and business KPIs.
  • Developing a solid understanding of how the business operates and how it is performing both currently and historically.
  • Becoming an expert on the industry standards and activities that impact the Ad Delivery area for Pluto TV, including a deep understanding of IAB standards (VAST, OpenRTB, VMAP, etc).

Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in this role:

  • At least 2 years of commercial experience in a product manager role, particularly with demonstrated leadership in the management of a product (or portfolio of products) through the software development lifecycle, from conception to launch to ongoing performance measurement and optimization.
  • Experience with digital advertising, preferably in TV or streaming video. Understanding of ad-supported video on-demand and/or video streaming technologies, either through working for an ad-supported media company, DSP, SSP, or ad network (particularly with video advertising), is preferred.
  • Adept at tailoring communications depending on the circumstance, whether the audience is technical, non-technical, or executive.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for identifying key problems that are faced by the business, by the market and by current technologies.
  • Track record of results when working collaboratively and being dependent on others.
  • Comfort analyzing data to identify trends, to diagnose problems, and to find solutions.
