Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager, Payments to help us develop the ability to move money through our market-leading Financials solution and build out an entirely new revenue stream for our business.

As a successful Principal Product Manager, Payments, you have a deep background in payment technology, significant experience in product management, comfort in collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and the ability to balance competing priorities with ease. You have proven experience digging into customer problems, distilling them into needs, and envisioning the best solutions to meet and exceed them. If you can operate with a high degree of autonomy, have strong leadership skills, and are great at driving alignment—we’d like to hear from you!

The construction vertical is ripe for technological innovation. Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it’s one of the least digitized industries, not to mention one of the most dangerous. Procore is leading the market with our SaaS construction platform. We build for real people with real experiences, empowering Groundbreakers to develop and transform the communities we all live in.

This position will report to the VP Product for Financials and has the opportunity to work remotely from a US location, or in our New York, NY, Carpinteria, CA, or Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and execute a strategy for our payments infrastructure that fits the unique needs of our customers and evolves based on the changing FinTech technology landscape

  • Work with a team of amazing engineers to help build out our payment infrastructure from the ground up, partnering with industry leading vendors to help us achieve our goals

  • Partner with our internal teams in the G&A org to help build out our risk, compliance and operational capabilities around managing large volume of money movement

  • Lead the engagement, evaluation, and selection of partners and vendors that further our FinTech capabilities

  • Communicate complex subject matter to internal stakeholders and create buy-in and understanding about our payments approach

  • Become well-versed in the construction industry and its diverse collaboration challenges in order to guide and communicate the value you’re creating for our customers

  • Balance customer empathy with horizontal solution thinking—recognize platform approaches that solve multiple problems at once, creating strategic leverage for Procore

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years in a product management role launching new payment methods or partner integrations within the greater payments ecosystem consisting of payment gateways, PSPs, payment networks, interbank clearing networks, real-time gross settlement networks, and trade financing

  • Deep understanding of current B2B payment technologies and the benefits and risks associated with each

  • Familiarity with the BSA and KYC regulatory environment, and applications of technology to satisfy regulatory requirements

  • Expert level strategic thinking and ability to fit an infrastructure roadmap into a variety of constraints including changing technology landscape and evolving customer needs

  • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, demonstrating the ability to break down problems into components that are then structured into systemic solutions

  • Expert level ability to work with Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software

  • Proven track record of developing cross-functional partnerships across Product, Engineering, UX and Internal G&A function that drive successful outcomes

  • Strong listening and communication skills; Product Management is equally about inquiring as it is advocating

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience
