Background:

Peter H. Diamandis, MD —— a serial entrepreneur (of 22 companies), NYTimes best-selling author of three books (Abundance, BOLD, and The Future is Faster Than You Think), and world-renowned keynote speaker —— is looking to hire an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to join his Strike Force team and work with him across all areas of his businesses. Fortune Magazine named Dr. Diamandis one of the 50 most influential leaders in the world. This position is based is out of the XPRIZE Foundation's HQ in Culver City, California.

Dr. Diamandis’s main areas of focus currently include companies, authorship and projects related to: human longevity & vitality, cellular medicine, vaccines, digital education platforms, venture capital, and global incentive competitions. What is the Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Position?

The role of a Strike Force member is to serve as a thought partner, strategist and problem solver as Peter grows his current companies and creates new ones.

The ideal candidate for this position has the following attributes/skills:

• An entrepreneur with the innate ability to be creative and operate as a quick-start.
• Strong marketing and sales skills. Has sold stuff. Knows how to pitch an idea.
• Is a problem solver. Shows initiative.
• Can handle stressful situations, multi-task & 'get shit done.'
• Is a strong researcher and writer – can create briefing docs and PPT decks quickly & iteratively.
• Is a critical thinker.

The ideal candidate for this position has the following background:

• Ideally has a medical background (MD, PhD, MD/PhD), OR has extensive knowledge of the world of biotech, genomics, CRISPR, cellular medicines/therapies, genetics, or similar (degree not needed, fluency is a must).
• And/or, has a strong technology background; has expertise and fluency in multiple exponential technologies: AI, ML, Robotics, AR/VR, 3D Printing, etc.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Traveling with Peter on a global basis;
• Participating on every phone call of importance and in every meeting of importance, globally;
• Researching, note-taking and following up on key items and projects;
• Acting as a ‘second brain’ in every conversation and situation;
• Representing Peter and his companies with the utmost of professionalism;
• Developing key theories and having the ability to execute on them;
• Supporting sales of products;
• Solving problems assigned of any scope and magnitude.

NOT a 9-5 Job:

This is not a normal 9-5pm, Monday-Friday job.

This is a role that will require 120% of your commitment, focus and drive. This includes extensive travel to events and meetings around the world, where you will be exposed to many high-level executives, CEOs and world leaders. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by Peter, and be given extraordinary access.

Peter is looking for a minimum commitment of 2 years. Longer is an option. In success, he will mentor you to start a company or take a leadership position in one of his organizations.

Compensation is significant, based on experience, and is composed of multiple components, including: base-salary, profit sharing, sales commissions, and equity in companies whose founding you support.

You will work out of an office (at XPRIZE HQ) when Peter is in Los Angeles, and travel with Peter when he is out of town.
