Ranker is seeking a rock star Director of Product Management who can take ownership of far more than just the UI. We have already built a sophisticated product that has gained significant market traction; we are looking for someone who can immediately add a layer of value to take us to the next level. 

The Director of Product Management will be hands-on across the following key areas: product development, product management, technology partnerships/ analyst relations, and product marketing. A critical focus will be on evolving and evangelizing Watchworthy, Ranker’s latest TV recommendation app. The perfect candidate would be energized by the opportunity to pioneer new solutions and evolve our existing, repeatable offerings.

As the Director of Product Management, you will report to the Chief Product Officer and coach and mentor a world-class team of PMs as well as partner with cross-functional stakeholders to champion initiatives that significantly affect the direction of the company and impact profits. This role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated success in delivering substantial growth through end-to-end product development management and lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Build, guide, mentor, motivate and retain a group of extraordinary product management professionals.
  •  Deliver insightful product recommendations to business leaders and the executive team in a persuasive and thoughtful manner. Build consensus and effectively influence senior-level stakeholders.
  • Be a subject matter expert and provide insights into product, technology and market trends
  • Work closely with leaders from the Sales, engineering, and marketing to deliver extraordinary products to our customers. Encourage collaboration with other teams.
  • Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
  • Be a champion of the MVP concept, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable and feasible
  • Monitor and report on product KPIs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to scope, design, concept test and deliver innovative solutions
  • Assist with the development of business cases and operating plans
  • Develop materials to communicate progress to partners and clients
  • Assist in the development of new business proposals
  • Project management throughout the product lifecycle
  • Have QA oversight at testing and final release stages
  • Develop product specs and wireframes
  • Use analytics software to make data-driven decisions

What You’ll Bring

  • Shown track-record of at least 10+ years of solid product management experience
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies and industries (preferably in the web publisher or internet space)
  • A demonstrated and focused desire to build products and services that customers will love
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Experience launching multiple digital products
  • Strategic thinker combined with planned execution. Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-demanding and data-driven environment
  • The ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
  • The ability to set and manage expectations at the executive level
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Jira, or other issue-tracking software
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or other analytics software
  • A general knowledge or interest of pop culture
