Girlboss is searching for a Director of Product Management to partner with our CEO and team at large to find better ways to serve our community and build the next iteration(s) of her experience. This is an opportunity to get on the ground floor of a small, fast-growing startup and have a huge impact on our future.

What you'll do:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the unique opportunity that Girlboss has in the marketplace.
  • Identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Create buy-in and act as the product owner for all cross-platform initiatives both internally and with key external partners.
  • Develop growth and monetization strategies in line with overall business objectives
  • Lead the effort to design “seamless and engaging” cross-platform customer experiences across content, community, and commerce.
  • Partner with Engineering to deliver product features.
  • Document customer, business, functional/development requirements, use cases, user persona, measurement plans, as well as A/B and multivariate testing plans as they relate to feature roll-out.
  • Drive product launches including working with PR, Social, and Marketing teams
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
  • Collaborate with marketing, revenue, content, and technology teams to define the product line strategy and roadmap, to incorporate all relevant digital customer touch points, including but not limited to websites, mobile websites, mobile applications, etc.
  • Manage the entire cross-platform life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities and optimization.
  • Build and manage team of Product Managers and Product Designers to create wireframes, user flows and user experience requirements.
  • Ensure voice of the customer is deeply ingrained in all products by conducting all manner of customer research, including behavioral data analysis, surveys, focus groups, usability studies, conjoint analysis and beta programs where appropriate.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and keep abreast of industry best practices as it might inform new product development and existing product evolution.

What you'll need to have...

  • Proven ability to lead product strategy, develop product roadmaps, prioritize user stories, and drive product development from conceptualization, design and development, to launch and ongoing support in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • 5+ years of experience in social/community and/or subscription product management.
  • Extensive experience in agile product development and associated project management software.
  • Experience in designing, building and launching cross-platform experiences.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, A/B testing frameworks and data visualization a must.
  • Proven track record of optimizing conversion.
  • Experience leading a highly cross-functional team with ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Proven track record of identifying high value, low cost solutions to problems by balancing business and customer needs with technological capabilities
  • Highly analytical, SQL skills required
  • Proficiency in Sketch, InVision, and/or AdobeXD
  • Experience managing a technical product or products a must
  • Ability to read code and have basic understanding a plus
  • Experience building/bringing to market products for multiple users a plus
