About the Digital Asset Manager at Headspace:

Headspace is looking for a Digital Asset Manager (DAM) to archive, categorize, preserve and make accessible its extensive and growing content archive. An experienced archivist, the ideal candidate will lead a task force working cross-functionally to create an efficient company-wide content management system and learning platform. Having grown very quickly from a start-up of four people to an organization of 160+ people with offices in LA, San Francisco and London we need a solution to manage our entire content library across meditation content, video, product design, brand design, social media, marketing, editorial and general business administration.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

• Responsible for leading the overall strategy, implementation and workflow of a digital asset management system and learning platform.
• Responsible for leading the strategy and structure with clear tagging and search terms enabled.
• Lead meetings, discussions and training sessions with staff and project working groups to audit current systems and workflows.
• Create and provide succinct, clear presentations to stakeholders on approach and software recommendations.
• Develop, implement and maintain a consistent and successful communication and change management plan.
• Coordinate and implement the ongoing ingest and digitisation of assets into the digital asset management system and learning platform.
• Maintain rigorous metadata and taxonomy models.
• Work closely with the IT department to evaluate digital storage solutions, maintain backup and storage and provide guidance for adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure the digital asset management system continually meets the needs of the company

What you’ve accomplished:

• Master’s degree in Library Science or Knowledge Management 
• 3-5 years relevant experience including project management involving digital collections
• Understanding of databases, working knowledge of digital content formats and standards
• Understanding of copyright and rights management issues
• Knowledge of best practices for the arrangement, description, and preservation of multiple media types
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies is a plus
• Interest in Headspace & Meditation
