About SpotHopper

SpotHopper is the leading agentic AI-powered marketing platform built specifically for the restaurant industry. With 15,000+ restaurant partners and explosive growth year-over-year, we’re proud to help restaurants thrive through better marketing, automation, and customer engagement.

We’re now expanding our product ecosystem to deliver even deeper value through seamless POS integrations, online ordering, and reservation systems. We’re looking for a Product Manager who brings deep expertise in one or more of these areas—someone who understands how restaurant tech connects behind the scenes to create smooth, profitable experiences for both operators and guests.

If you’ve worked with restaurant POS systems, online ordering platforms, or reservation software—and you’re passionate about building smarter, more connected restaurant technology—we want to talk to you.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager to help expand and optimize SpotHopper’s platform within the restaurant technology ecosystem — focusing on POS Integrations, Online Ordering, and Reservations.

You don’t need to be an expert in all three — but you should bring deep product experience in at least one of these areas and a strong curiosity to learn the others. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering, design, and partnerships teams to deliver seamless, high-impact features that make running a restaurant easier and more profitable.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for your focus area (POS, Online Ordering, or Reservations), from ideation through launch and iteration.
  • Deeply understand the restaurant customer — their workflows, pain points, and the tech stack they rely on.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data, and GTM teams to deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions.
  • Prioritize and define requirements that align with business goals and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and APIs to enhance integrations and ensure stability, reliability, and ease of use.
  • Measure success with data — defining KPIs and using insights to guide iteration and future planning.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in hospitality tech and identify new opportunities for innovation.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of Product Management experience in SaaS, ideally in hospitality, restaurant tech, or POS ecosystems.
  • Proven success owning the product lifecycle from concept to release.
  • Experience working with API-based integrations, ordering systems, or reservations platforms (e.g., Toast, Square, Clover, Tock, OpenTable, Resy, DoorDash, Uber Eats).
  • Strong technical understanding — able to communicate effectively with engineers and external partners.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you can translate complex needs into clear plans.
  • A natural curiosity for the restaurant industry and passion for solving real-world operator challenges.

If you’re passionate about building seamless restaurant technology and excited to define the future of integrated, AI-powered hospitality, we want to work with you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
