The Principal Solutions Architect (AI & Integrations) is the client-facing technical strategist, responsible for designing and overseeing the build of AI solutions. This role serves as the client’s strategic peer as well as the internal HubSpot AI Delivery Team’s chief architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Discovery - Lead technical discovery with client engineering/product teams to map complex business requirements to a multi-system solution (e.g., HubSpot + Client Platform).
- Designing AI Solutions - Architect the complete solution, including data models, integration patterns, API usage, and system-level logic.
- Technical Authority - Serve as the primary technical authority for our most advanced clients, building "engineer-to-engineer" credibility and owning the technical strategy.
- Manage the technical pod - Oversee the technical pod (Developer & AI Engineer) to ensure the built solution perfectly matches the architectural design and business goals.
- Leadership - Develop an inclusive, high-performing HubSpot AI Delivery Team through collaboration and mentorship. Champion a continuous learning culture, set clear performance standards, ensure defined accountability, and effectively guide the team through changes.
- Innovation Lab Partner - Partner with the Innovation Lab to productize new, advanced solutions and create repeatable frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10+ years in a technical consulting, solutions architecture, or senior sales engineering roleExperience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Lovable, Retool, etc.).
- Expert-level, demonstrable mastery of the entire HubSpot platform and its developer ecosystem (APIs, custom objects, etc.).
- Deep understanding of API capabilities, integration patterns, and data modeling (knows what can be built and why, not necessarily how to code it all).
- Provable experience architecting complex data models and integrations between major SaaS platforms (e.g., CRM-to-ERP, CRM-to-Product).
- Exceptional communication skills: the ability to command a room of engineers and, in the same meeting, explain the strategic "why" to a non-technical CEO.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- Active participation in developer communities.
