The Role

Role Description

We are looking for a technical leader to help shape the Machine Learning agenda for Dropbox’s new initiatives. This will involve developing high impact ML solutions that touch hundreds of millions of people and a *lot* of data. From images to documents in every language, using the full range of Machine Learning techniques from deep learning, interacting with modern LLMs (natural language), search relevance, recommender systems, computer vision, etc. and executing everywhere from mobile devices to large clusters on our back-end infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with machine learning experts across Dropbox to help shape where and how we use machine learning
  • You will build delightful products and experiences for millions, while working alongside an excellent, multi-functional team across Engineering, Product and Design
  • You will help craft the direction of machine learning and artificial intelligence at Dropbox

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field involving Machine Learning, or equivalent technical experience
  • 10+ years of experience building machine learning or AI systems in applied settings
  • Demonstrated skill develop deep learning model architectures in practice
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated passion for helping others leverage machine learning
  • Proven software engineering skills across multiple languages Python, C/C++ and ML packages (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Caffe, Theano, Torch)
