Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description Details

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer should design, implement and operate key components of the IT infrastructure to assure the effective performance of growing organization.

Design and implement single-sign on for cross platform users and apps.

Design and implement software distribution/management solution for Windows 10 client

Audit and mitigate security risks within Corp. network and applications

Design and implement future storage/virtualization platform

Perform periodic planning and testing of disaster recovery of mission critical applications & systems

Maintain and improve of HPC (High-Performance Computing) clusters.

Automate deployments, maintenance, and common tasks where applicable.

Maintain and improve virtualization solution for key applications

Improve network design for security/reliability and operate network equipment and services

Provide on-call/remote support to resolve issues on critical IT services outside normal working hours

Install, Move, Add & Change user desktop

Troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues of user desktop

Install urgent network cabling when required.

Requirements:

BS degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years of IT Infrastructure support experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Linux

Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows desktop/server operating systems

Preferred Experience

Expert knowledge in Linux, preferably in RHEL/CENTOS

Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, Cyber security defenses, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management

Hyper-V, VMWare, including management software and related products with HA setup

experience of supporting Mac OS X in corporate environment

Experience with HPE HPC enclosure/blade server, HPE ProLiant Server

Expert knowledge of network switches/router/firewall/VPN.

One or more current certifications in above-referenced technologies.

Proficiency in scripting and automation - e.g. PowerShell, bash.

The ability to manage self and multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Resourcefulness, creativity, and troubleshooting skills.

Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure, and/or equivalent is a plus.
