We are looking for a Senior Director of Production who will play a critical role in leading the production team, defining and maintaining the production strategy and working closely with design and product development to achieve target margins. This role reports to the VP Product.

What You’ll Do

• Manage relationships with factories and fabric/trim mills to meet deadlines and track every step of the development and production process
• Work closely with factories and warehouse for on-time deliveries.
• Work closely with merchandising to source materials or develop own IP if not readily available
• Identify and onboard new factories
• Negotiate production and sampling costs with factories, patternmakers and fabric mills.
• Shorten current lead times and lower costs for existing products.
• Maintain/oversee spec sheets, WIP report, BOMs, and costing including calculating yields, fabric, duty, and cut and sew.
• Make suggestions to meet goal margins.
• Order fabrics and trims with suppliers from sample yardage to production.
• Create and manage time and action calendar from initial research and sourcing to sampling and fittings.
• Manage design schedule, keeping the development process on track to meet deadlines.
• Ensure beautifully produced product and be in charge of quality control and checking all production before delivery.

What You Have

• At least 10+ years of related production experience.
• Strong leadership skills; experience in cultivating relationships with the production partners and managing a team.
• Established relationships with vendors and factories
• The ability to shorten lead times and lower costs for existing products.
• The ability to work closely with merchandising to source materials or develop own IP if not readily available.
• A good understanding of duties and tariffs across the production supply chain.
• Proficiency/understanding of garment construction as well as technical knowledge of production.
• The ability to completely own costing for every style and negotiate to ensure the desired margin is met.
• A strong understanding of duties and tariffs across the production supply chain.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• The ability to travel overseas regularly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, motivated and enthusiastic attitude
