About the Role

We are looking for an Agile leader who will drive a scaled agile framework across our fast-growing Product and Engineering team at Sidecar Health, evolve our engineering culture, and drive a step-change in how we operate across our multidisciplinary team. If you are passionate about growing diverse, high-functioning Agile teams with an obsession for continuous improvement, shipping products and firmly believe in “servant leadership” this could be the right opportunity for you!
Your core focus will be bringing our growing, distributed teams together to deliver, evangelize, coach, and mentor product managers, engineers, and partners to realize that an authentic Agile culture is our key to success. In addition, this role affords you the scope, platform, and visibility to act as an Agile evangelist across the entire organization. In addition, you will use your extensive experience and knowledge in utilizing JIRA to stay on track with best practices, tracking, and transparency.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the Agile leader and drive continuous improvement in our Agile culture and process while also maximizing the team's potential. 
  • Continually assess the maturity of the team. You will be coaching product owners, stakeholders and engineers to achieve better outcomes. 
  • Drive a positive team culture that keeps the team excited and energized by championing safe and inclusive environment. 
  • Organize and facilitate all Agile ceremonies, creating simple and lean documentation that ensures shared understanding across teams around things like our release process, product increment planning sessions and the outcome of retrospectives. 
  • Eliminate impediments and helps team members navigate the organization to get things done. 
  • Enables effective workflows and practices with tools that promote alignment, collaboration and transparency. 
  • Serve as a resident JIRA expert/ admin, helping teams harness the power of our collaboration tool. 
  • Recommend and lead implementations of any new tools that can support our Agile culture across the company. 
  • Keeps the team informed of emerging industry trends and learning opportunities related to Agile software development. 

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, Agile Consultant or Scrum Master at a fast-scaling startup. 
  • Strong belief in servant leadership, building bridges, connecting, advocating, and supporting Product Managers and Engineers in their day-to-day agile work. 
  • Extensive experience with JIRA/Confluence to help the teams get the most out of asynchronous collaboration. 
  • Deep understanding of the technical term in translating product and business needs to technical solutions and vice versa. 
  • Deep practical Agile experience over formal certificate. Certificates are nice but not required.
