The Black Tux’s Retail team is growing rapidly, and we are looking for an Operations Manager to help us scale. Our Operations Manager will own the operational development and execution of our overall retail program needs. They will possess great skills in relationship building, troubleshooting, communication, time management, and building out operational processes.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure we are maximizing efficiency across all processes and procedures
  • Create and document all standard operating procedures for our showroom department
  • Coordinate and participate in the execution of launching any new showrooms
  • Coordinate the operational needs regarding any new sales or brand exposure initiatives such as: Prom partnerships with schools, collaboration with colleges, trade shows or corporate functions
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager to coordinate any build outs and construction for renovations or new showrooms
  • Travel to any showrooms as needed for launches or ongoing operational needs
  • Directly manage our Office Coordinator with all showroom related projects and deadlines
  • Act as primary point of contact with our tech team to manage project timelines, initiatives, testing and launch of any new tech product as it relates to showrooms
  • Collaborate with Showroom Managers on facilities maintenance
  • Support coordination of purchase and delivery of any new furniture, fixtures, etc to all showrooms
  • Own all inventory management as it relates to showrooms in collaboration with our product and warehouse teams, including but not limited to: conducting bi-annual showroom inventory, release of new product to showrooms, fulfillment of damaged/replacement items, etc.
  • Order and maintain proper levels of all showroom supplies in collaboration with Showroom Managers and Nordstrom Ambassadors
  • Act as the account manager and point of contact for Yelp and Google Places accounts for all Retail showroom locations
  • Posses or acquire intimate knowledge of all internal systems and platforms as it relates to showrooms including but not limited to: TBT website UX, TBT backend Admin platform, Appointment Plus, Ximble, and Tableau. 
  • Act as showroom expert and resource for all internal systems and platforms
  • Proficient at digesting data to inform decisions and discover team needs or opportunities
  • Leverage tableau and other data resources to create reporting needed to research opportunities, inform decisions or support initiatives
  • Think creatively to suggest new ways of enhancing our in store customer experience
  • Accountable to the operational KPIs for Showroom department

  • You take feedback and direction well, but can also work autonomously toward targets and goals

Location

We're located in Gardena, CA with many other surrounding warehouses. Our team plasy pickle-ball every Tuesday, lunch at Eatalian or Chicken Maison, and happy hour at Common Space, Monkish, or Smog City Brewery.
