Retail Consignment and Fulfillment Manager
As the Retail Consignment and Fulfillment Manager, you will oversee the people, performance and process for a key consignment and fulfillment location. You will be responsible for providing best-in-class service to our seller community, guaranteeing timely fulfillment of online orders while partnering with and supporting the operational needs of the Retail Sales team. You will bring organization and discipline to a unique operations and logistics center.
In this role you will:
- Direct daily activities to meet efficiency and profit goals
- Lead and shape new initiatives to meet organizational goals
- Monitor operations budget, controlling cost where possible
- Guide hiring, management and scheduling of employees to meet key needs
- Suggest and see through system and process changes to maximize quality and consistency
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture throughout the building and company
- Manage and provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to various operational roles
- Have a well-defined communication and engagement model in place to ensure all teams understand the performance of the business and also that they understand the needs of their teams
- Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
- Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement and recognition purposes
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives with a “lean” mentality
- Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirement and partnering with other managers
- Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy and quality expectations
We are looking for:
- 5+ years of operations leadership, consignment and fulfillment experience in a retail environment preferred
- Experience creating operational processes
- Experience in optimizing space of fulfillment centers/warehouses
- Experience of running a team of 20+ employees
- Understands the importance of customer service
- Possesses a financial acumen - recording, tracking and reporting expense control
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
- A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
- Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to meet business needs
