About the Job

At true[X], the Quality Services team provides testing services to all engineering teams; Front-End Engineering, Back-End Engineering, Full-Stack Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Science. The Quality Services team is tightly integrated with the Product Management, Project Management, and Engineering teams.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will have an important role of ensuring quality across the tech stack, be an advocate of quality, and fostering a culture of quality across the organization. You will also have the ability to provide input across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, and the freedom to choose the methodology that will best achieve Quality Assurance objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. engineers and product managers) to clarify and bridge gaps in the requirements
  • Liaise with third-party testing resources as needed
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure the delivery of a product that will meet the product requirements and satisfy the business needs
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Troubleshooting, document thoroughly, and track defects
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Act as an advocate for the customer and product quality throughout the company
  • Attend project stand-up meetings and be ready to provide testing level-of-effort and progress
  • Manage projects with minimum supervision

What you have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred
  • 4-5 years experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development process
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both gray box and black box testing
  • Experience with design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Experience in digital advertising industry is a plus
