Principal Solutions Architect

ServiceTitan is looking for a Principal Solutions Architect to provide technical and thought leadership in solutions engineering, implementation and maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and defining the principles that shape our technical solutioning and adoption practices. The successful candidate will build end-to-end solution plans that define the ideal and future state systems solution, scope of solution initiatives, solution delivery sequencing, assumptions, and risks. Candidate will be expected to indirectly manage and mentor all of ServiceTitan’s customer facing technical personnel and take singular point of accountability for technical solutioning and delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Define, implement and maintain technical delivery methodology, policies, processes and procedures to proactively identify, investigate and resolve technical issues that may come up at various stages of the customer journey.
  • Maintain an organization-wide view of current and future business best practices and application of those practices to our software architecture. Provide solutions that integrate into the overall Product vision and strategy.
  • Analyze the current product functionality to detect critical deficiencies and collaborate with Products and development teams to recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Provide technical and thought leadership in system implementation, maintenance and application development. Promote best practices in these areas across the organization.
  • Manage the effort to support, resolve and document issues that arise in the technical architecture through the customer lifecycle. This may include reviewing designs and recommending improvements to the product/eng teams.
  • Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate industry best practices into core software functionality.
  • Provide thought leadership from a full solution perspective to all team members who are engaged with solutioning - Sales Engineer to Success Architect.
  • Model the technical landscape to analyze the alignment of business capabilities with delivered technology and corresponding solutions.
  • At times, serve in the field team’s sales and business development efforts with prospects, customers and partners.

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of IT consulting experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles.
  • 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of complex operations platforms
  • Expert level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer or partner IT landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of ServiceTitan software in conjunction with business requirements.
  • Expert level ability to understand the business domain of the customer or partner and the business problems the customer or partner is facing, with the intent to solve the business problems.
  • Expert level ability to interact with senior leadership (e.g. CIO’s, CTOs, CEOs) within a customer or partner organization.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, having the ability to communicate effectively with diverse set of customers or partners, across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort in presenting with technical and Executive audiences
  • Be mobile and travel to client locations as needed. Estimated 25-40% travel requirement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
