The Plant Manager (Food Production) will be responsible for the operation & management of our El Segundo facility. Responsibilities will include facility management, working with HQ to launch new product lines, short & long term strategy implementation, development of his or her management teams, achieving all operational metrics, reporting infrastructures, efficiency analysis, quality management, training process development, and overall operational ownership. This individual will partner closely with CEO, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Technology teams in developing and scaling our overall operational infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall facility management.
• Manage new facility launch requirements from initial buildout to fully operational.
• Develop, maintain, and improve all facility operations, emphasizing scalable growth initiatives
• Develop & manage process standardization, performance optimization, and data analytics.
• Manage analytical requirements to ensure cycle time, quality and operational KPI's are met.
• Develop operational changes and make improvements, to ensure optimum ROI's are achieved.
• Plan and manage staff schedule in accordance to budget and/or business needs by utilizing the staffing model for the business.
• Based on data analysis, provide and communicate strategies for forward planning and operational change
• Hire and train talent for the department, create advancement matrixes and standards of continued excellence.

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in food manufacturing facility in operational management roles with increasing responsibilities
• Prior experience managing distribution center, production or logistics facility.
• Prior work experience within the third party fulfillment industry, eCommerce, grocery/food
• Previous exposure to, and demonstrated success in, a fast paced high-growth business environment
• BA/BS in Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field preferred
• Working knowledge or experience with warehouse management systems (OzLink preferred), labor management systems, and enterprise resource planning systems (Netsuite preferred)
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate periods of change and disruption, fosters a culture of continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and oral with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
• Self starter, able to work independently and lead with initiative
