Position Summary
The Operations Manager will play a leadership role in managing, scaling, and streamlining the company’s operations for receiving, processing, and shipping returns at multiple sites nationwide. The operations manager is an accomplished professional with a successful track of record of building and scaling effective warehouse operations in a rapidly evolving environment.
Optimize and scale our Hubs
Use data and observations to create and implement improvements in process and labor productivity
Develop evaluation systems for productivity, and coach, develop, and performance manage individual contributors
Help create the expansion plan for opening additional processing facilities across the country
Implement technology and inform software development
Identify and introduce market leading devices and technology to improve operations, including scanners, mobile devices, material handling equipment, etc
Work with a world class team of product managers and engineers to turn your ideas for process improvements into reality - we are a small, nimble team where rapid change is encouraged
Manage Operations
Recruit, train, coach and manage a large operations team spread across multiple nationwide sites
Create training and onboarding plans to support explosive growth
Optimize schedules to support speed and productivity
Own all SOPs - you will be our subject matter expert and go-to for all questions related to our hubs
We are looking for someone with:
5 - 7+ years of experience in operations management in warehouse, logistics, or other large scale operations, building and developing diverse teams, optimizing processes, and delivering business goals
5+ years of people management experience, high EQ, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex operational environment
Subject matter expertise in optimizing productivity in a warehousing environment, through process improvement, people management, and technological implementation
Proven aptitude to help build or adapt complex software systems or other technology to streamline and scale logistics operations
Humble attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level strategic thinking to stepping in and helping to drive implementation alongside functional teams
Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving operation
