Heliogen seeks an O&M Technician to contribute to the development and implementation of technology. Our O&M Technician will have the opportunity to transform the world through the application of our unique solar thermal technology.

You Aspire To:

• Operate and maintain cutting edge solar thermal equipment at our research and test facility.
• Start up, monitor and shutdown equipment associated with solar energy collection, steam generation and hydrogen production.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical, rotating and heat transfer equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, all terrain reach lifts, boom lifts, and earth moving machines.
• Use a computerized maintenance management system to document and track work orders, perform inventories, procure spare parts and produce reports of completed work.
• Participate in the safe operation of the facility by identifying hazards and taking the required actions to resolve.

What’s Essential:

• 5 years as an operations or maintenance technician at an industrial process or power generating facility.
• 2 years operating an industrial process using a DCS or PLC based control system.
• Position requires physical activities including climbing ladders, working on elevated towers and platforms and entering small/ limited spaces in an outdoor environment that could see significant temperature extremes.
• Strong organizational ability, including ability to manage deliverables and timelines, to complete tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and demonstrated experience with a computerized maintenance management system.

What's Desirable:

• Excellent performance as an operations and/or maintenance technician in an industrial process or power generating facility.
• Leveraging your knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment/systems to perform troubleshooting and repair.
• Operating complex industrial processes that may include steam generation, electricity generation, water treatment, parts manufacturing, or petroleum/chemical production.
• Succeeding in a fast paced, dynamic environment as an integral part of a small team with limited supervision.
