The Role

We’re looking for a hustler to join our growth team as a Los Angeles operations assistant. This individual will be in charge of managing day-to-day operations, as well act as the local go-to for new Hopper projects. The best candidates are jacks-of-all-trades who love to own projects and tasks from start to finish, and committed to being on the front-lines of delivering on Hopper’s mission of revolutionizing travel. The position is part-time with flexible hours and days, with the expectation of being on-call for emergency situations when off-shift.

In this role you will:

• Handle multiple, diverse projects and tasks at once
• Troubleshoot issues, working independently to solve problems as they arise
• Strong communicator, able to handle customer and vendor relationships
• Act as the local eyes, ears, and brand presence throughout Los Angeles
• Work closely with growth and product team members in Boston and Montreal to execute locally
• Travel around Los Angeles
• Learn about the future of travel from one of the industry’s most exciting startups

A qualified candidate has:

• Passion for problem-solving to delivering excellent results and user experience
• Hustler mentality, ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and to handle uncertainty, ambiguity and the challenge of quickly evolving goals
• No specific education or employment history - we want to see your talent, drive and mindset
• Driver’s license and car, or based around Santa Monica/Westside of Los Angeles
• Flexible schedule - available in late-mornings/early-afternoons most days, able to work occasional weekends, and willing to be on-call for tasks in the evenings
