What we are looking for…

A highly motivated and organized Onboarding Manager to plan, execute, and manage budget and end to end process to open our new AvantStay properties. The Onboarding Manager will work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders (interior design, guest experience, real estate, operations, etc.) and external stakeholders (property owners, third-party vendors, etc.). This person loves acting in a project management capacity, working quickly to find innovative solutions to problems. 


What you’ll do…

  • Manage the onboarding processes of our portfolio of properties, from property condition assessment, managing minor renovations, supporting design, directing all property systems installation, overseeing the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) fitout, and coordinating photoshoots until each property is guest ready and live on the AvantStay website. 
  • Work cross-functionally with our Design, Operations, and Hospitality Teams to provide expert level insights on onboarding logistics to ensure the onboarding process runs smoothly, on-budget, and on-time.
  • Act as the main point of contact for owners of complex, luxury assets while supporting your team to autonomously act in this capacity for standard openings. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to homeowners during initial 30 days of bringing the property onto our portfolio
  • Analyze onboarding and offboarding processes and procedures, updating as necessary to align with current industry trends. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors in your region to support scalable onboarding growth.
  • Build and mentor a team of quality Onboarding Associate and Onboarding Coordinators.
  • Track the progress of the onboarding and offboarding processes, providing timely status updates to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Strategically propose process and technology advancements to continually improve AvantStay’s onboarding process and reduce cash burn. 
  • Ensure the seamless transition for property owners from Real Estate through Onboarding and onto Owner Relations through process development and execution. 
  • Act as the point of contact and liaison for AvantStay with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Manage additional onboarding and operations projects as necessary. 

What you’ll bring…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 6-8 years of professional experience in property or hospitality openings and/or project management. Previous experience in hospitality, real estate, and/or property management a plus. 
  • Strong vendor and contract management experience.
  • Confidence and comfort making data driven decisions, proposing alternatives and recommendations, and handling ambiguity in an ever changing and growing system.
  • Experience building and managing a team, managing remote resources is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize numerous competing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • High EQ/interpersonal skills in working with external stakeholders and owners, brining a passion for this type of engagement.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and get your hands dirty when needed. 
  • Ability to travel 50% as projects require
