JOB PURPOSE:
The Mastering Manager for Digital Cinema Operations ensures compliance with security protocols, that any issue in Mastering is resolved promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations, and that production schedules are maintained. You will maintain strong cross-department and cross-facility communication as well as propose and ensure execution of best workflow practices and solutions for future product releases. Training of personnel, technical troubleshooting, and supervision of staff will be required.

DUTIES:
• Create and enforce procedures
• Assist in evaluation and creation of workflow implementations
• Maintain accuracy of procedural documentation
• General HR/Admin duties; reviews, time sheets, schedules, etc.
• Conduct new hire interviews
• Coordinate ongoing training of staff 
• Assist in coordination of UAT testing of toolsets 
• Address or escalate any issue that might hinder production
• Ensure security protocol adherence
• Pursue production/operational efficiencies 
• Provide internal technical support and respond to technical questions
• Conflict resolution

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in high pressure situations (e.g., tight deadlines/high profile client interaction…)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and teambuilding
• Critical thinking to anticipate, solve and prevent problems
• Excellent knowledge of Digital Cinema workflows and standards
• Knowledge of general Audio/Video containers, codecs, and file formats
• Advanced knowledge of Digital Cinema mastering tools: E.g., Clipster, Doremi, Wailua, and Transkoder
• Knowledge of video transcoding tools. E.g., Content Agent, Adobe Media Encoder, Vantage, ffmpeg, and similar 
• Knowledge of various operating systems: Windows, Mac (OSX), Linux (Ubuntu)

EXPERIENCE:
At least five years in a Digital Cinema production environment
At least one year in program management or in an operations management/supervisory role

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University or equivalent professional experience in TV/Film Production, Communications
